It is shown she was in prison with him. Maybe she has her own motivation. I def think she is loyal to oden but betray him at same time.

@Jo_Ndule is right though, the feat of Oden didn´t nerv Kaido. He is still the dude who one shot Luffy with a single attack. Also Oda make it very clear with avoid to let Kaido use his hybird form. So he give him a cheapshot yet without really dehype him while Oden still has his insane hype. Like the way how Oda did it her though, both Oden and Kaido probably back then was mid top tiers lvl characters.

And Kaido was likely still far from being as strong as he is today. Plus I am not too optimistic on the chances of Luffy being able of beating the Beast in just two rounds, he may perhaps be able of really wounding Kaido but injuring does not mean defeating and Kaido has surely not used his true power against Boundman.
