Speculations Sanji vs Queen is probably over, and Zoro vs King will be just as underwhelming (one chapter more)

I agree that Sanji vs Queen is probably over, but I'm expecting two more chapters from Zoro vs King.

I think Haoshoku coating is Zoro's equivalent of the exoskeleton. I'm guessing that we'll still see his equivalent of Ifrit Jambe.

Queen only revealed his trump card (all the Vinsmoke powers combined) after the ultimate attack from exoskeleton Sanji (Hell's Memories).

For King, I think the equivalent of this would be when Haoshoku Zoro lands an attack on him that completely destroys his mask.

I'd expect that to be the end of the next Zoro vs King chapter.

We'd have one more chapter after the mask is destroyed, where King goes all out, and then Zoro uses his Ifrit Jambe equivalent to defeat him.
I can see this. My main problem is that I don’t think Oda will give a full chapter after the mask breaks since at that point King is just one attack away from going down.

I agree. Some people expect some Lunaria flashbacks but I doubt Oda will show something like that. Zoro will likely discover the secret of King's technique and defeat him in the next chapter.
Agreed.

Think Zoro vs King will be two more chapters.

The next chapter will be very much like this one was for Sanji, some more fight and them Zoro will end King with a CoC attack in the last page. But them the chapter after that probably Oda will show King suit being destroyed by Zoro attack and show how he look like, and that could turn into things like a small King FB, King telling Zoro something about Lunarians or Zoro realizing something about King's race.

If the Lunarians have somethings more, could be that them King will get up one more final time and use some "Lunarian Ultimate Power" and after that Zoro beat him, and pehaps even turn one of the blades black.

Would be cool if this "Lunarian Ultimate Power" break Sandai, giving more development to the fight, and opening the possibility for Zoro to get Nidai after the raid end. And also Zoro could finish him with some one sword style move, like the one he used against Ryumma, and after that move the sword turn Black.

We'll only see Berserk King and King going all out after the mask breaks.

That is, I think this chapter would be the equivalent of what we get after King's mask breaks.

If anything, it's the chapter that comes before the mask breaks that may not be solely dedicated to Zoro vs King.

All that needs to happen there is for Zoro to flex his Haoshoku and turn the tides around before eventually breaking King's mask.

The fights in Wano have been so wildly inconsistent in length and focus that I couldn’t say for sure what will happen with Zoro vs King. I would have bet my house on Sanji vs Queen getting two straight chapters of fighting (or at least 1.5) but that doesn’t seem to be happening now. Maybe that‘s because Sanji vs Queen got a lot before it, I don’t know.

But as a fight, even it Zoro vs King is over and done next chapter, it still shits all over Sanji vs Queen, which has been pretty terrible.

But if I’d to pick, I’m still going for two chapters for Zoro vs King. I don’t think it can wrap up as quickly as Sanji’s did. When we left Zoro vs King I got the impression that it’s “the real fight begins now”, whereas where we left Sanji vs Queen after Hell Memories I thought was “this fight is over next time we see it“- I just didn’t think it would get that little time devoted to getting it over.

I don’t expect a King flashback though, villain flashbacks are relatively rare.

Unfortunately, I think the odds of King’s durability being a gimmick are very very high. It’s probably his version of Marco’s regen given all the parallels they have
The thing about King's durability is that there seems to be a very clear difference between how he handled O-tatsumaki to how he handled shishi-sonson. When he tanked tatsumaki it seems he just straight up blocked but with shishi-sonson it seemed to be a direct/clean hit that just had him exuding flames from the wound

So it seems like his proper, no-gimmick durability is still very high to easily tank an attack like that just with his wings but his Lunarian hax shit makes him virtually invincible without understanding what he is

Is there a chance it ends in 1 chapter but that one chapter is filled with high-quality lore and action, involving Lunarians/King explained + Mihawk flashback + ACoC back and forth clashes + sexy spicy beautiful finisher move? I choose that

:doffycry::crybeard::perocry:
That's way too much to pack into a single chapter.

I agree with "the real fight begins now".

Do you think we'll get another segment of the fight after King's mask breaks?

Dunno, I’m reminded of the mystery of Who’s Who under the mask and that still hasn’t been delivered on.

I think because Oda has teased us seeing part of what King looks like under his suit that we will get to see that, but the way the Wano fights have gone I’m not going to predict anything so specific confidently.
