So it REALLY does make me beg question: are Awakened Zoan's revivable tanks? Like I thought Oda would introduce this concept back with the F6 after 1021, but then it didn't happen. I thought we'd first see it with Page 1 since he got 1 shot, but then nada. Then Jack went down, now here we are at the chapter that Queen probably is down (however long he lasts into the chapter).


Then on the flipside of that, I've wonder why certain characters like Usopp, Brook and Chopper were straight up shafted out of a fight when they were practically set up for one at different points. Or why Jinbe and Franky are relatively fine/pushed to their limits after fighting their opponents.

If he actually has them get up next volume, it would explain a lot about what he's done the last ~20 chapters or so. But if not then I don't know what to say lol. Everything "feels" too easy against a Yonko, and thats honestly weird to me, but if they get back up and everyone is forced to deal with endurance monsters who lost but still can get up, then it would totally address WHY he's done what he's done so far.


Idk, we have another 2-3 chapters before the concept either is addressed or ignored I guess.

You're right, it has been too easy for the strawhats. And it'd be really dissapointing if Oda just decided to write an arc where the strawhats just wipe the floor with the beast pirates and there's almost no emotional investment on their part after years and years of building up this conflict.
That'd be really bad writing. From what I've seen of Brandon Sanderson's classes on youtube Oda would be failing on the basics of writing that any beginner should know, set up and pay off.
Luckily Oda is a good writer, which is why I believe the raid will fail.

Chapter 1035 leak
Chapter tile: King vs King

Chapter starts with Osome and Chuji looking terrified at someone.
Cut to Zoro vs King.
Zoro starts to realize he's using Conquerors Haki.
He attacks King with a flying slash, and the slash is much stronger than before. King tries to defend from it but it's cut and actually bleeds.
King says that only Adv CoC can truly hurt his kind.
Next time Zoro tries to attack King, King uses Tempura Udon again, clashing with Zoro's swords.
King's beak and Zoro's swords don't touch.
During their fight, Zoro starts feeling pain. The medicine effect is ending.
Zoro decides to use Ashura with his new adv. CoC and attacks King. (lot of black lightning effects)
King takes the hit.
Cut to Luffy vs Kaido.
Kaido was weakened by all the fights he had. Luffy gets the upper hand.
Kaido begins to smile saying that Luffy finally brought him and his Calamities, a worthy challenge.
In an amazing sequence of double spreads, we see Kaido, King and Queen changing forms. They use Awakening.
Chapter ends with Jack still down because the mammoth lives only to suffer.
