If you are enjoying it. good for you. I simply can't understand why the FUCK Oda wasted 10 chapters on a monologue flashback of information we ALREADY KNEW beforehand.

The flashback would have been actually good the way it is... if we went into it without the prior knowledge that Oden was on WB ship and on Roger Pirates... and that Luffy is still helping Kinemon and Scabbard without the need to know that Oden was a roger crew member..
It would have been good if we did not know beforehand that Asura Douji... the man who went toe to toe with Jack.. was fucked up by Oden.... and subdued him into being a retainer

The flashback would have been good if Hiyori DID NOT tell us about Oden being the person who gave Kaido his scar. And that we knew that from the flashback

The flashback would have been good... if we didn't know yet about Toki being a time traveler... or her fruit UNTIL the flashback itself reveals it.. and that she came from 800 years ago

The point is.... the flashback DID NOT ADD A SINGLE THING

We already knew those info, and the flashback repeated the same thing over and over and over without adding stuff. The only reason people accept this flashaback is that people like "Roger or WB" were drawn in those panels. That's it

It's one of the worst Flashbacks

If you actually THINK otherwise. Let me ask you one single question. During all of those 9-10 chapter flashback. Tell me ONE SINGLE BIG INFORMATION that was revealed??? JUST ONE.
First two chapters were random chapters with no purpose other than saying Oden was too much to handle for Sukiyaki (something we knew ever since Kinemon told the story to the SHs)
And that he one by one recruited the scabbard. and controlled Kuri. Didn't we know that already???

Then, he met WB, sailed with him along with (Izo, Inuarashi, Nekumamushi) Something we ALSO KNEW

Then, we knew that Oden was gonna jump to Roger's ship, and Nekumamushi and Inuarashi will follow him while Izo will stay. SOMETHING WE ALL KNEW ever since Zou.

Then, they find the one piece. And leave, and Roger disband the crew, and says his goodbye to Rayleigh, the dark king, something we knew from Saboady arc from rayleigh.

Then, The crew will go thir separate ways, as Oden returned to Wano... the shogun and Kaido will be plotting against him... there will be a battle... Oden will give Kaido is X Scar (which honestly was so stupid drawing, and also it made Ame no Habakiri cut kaido like Enma, which contradicts Hiyori's statement that Enma is the only sword to cut Kaido, which devalues Enma for Zoro, it's just simple haki feat from Oden, nothing else) ... Then Oden will be taken out.... and he will be executed by Kaido and Shogun by being "Boiled like Oden". while Oden died proytecting the scabbard and allowing them to escape somehow.


Tell me ONE SINGLE REVELATION that is noteworthy....NOTHING

And we didn't even get focus on the scabbard point of view to actually get attached to them to feel motivated about their future fight and make it impactful

What a waste for 10 chapters of flashback. Talk about the stupidest writing ever.

Oh, if that isn't even bad for you. Oden basically danced for 5 years, and the reasoning behind it is simply revealed by Kaido this chapter that "if they went to war, casualties may happen, so Oden decided to not make a move". But wait..... That's a reason for Oden to make a deal with Kaido and Orochi to NOT ATTACK THEM and overthrow them... But Not a reason for him to go dancing naked for 5 years....????

The stupidest flashback with NO PURPOSE and NO MOTIVATIONS, NO REVEALS, NOTHING WORTHY cause everything was shown in those 10 chapters we ALREADY KNEW

We learnt that Oden was foolish, WAY NAIVE

Roger vs WB was never a 100% serious battle , "wb matched roger" was just a mere hype based on a friendly duel

We learnt that Toki is useless storywise except being Oden wife and sending retainers to the future.

We learnt also that Oda writing has became trash and rushed

And how on earth is Hiyori the traitor, when she doesn't even know how many samurai joined the alliance? Nor does she even know where Luffy's ship was located? And that Orochi is hunting her skinny ass?

You do realize that it is the same toki, that left her little girl behind, so that in case something goes wrong to momo, the kouziki bloodline should not disappear?
Meaning she puts her duty ablove everything else.
And it doesn't mean that she didn't love oden. Most probably she did fall for him, just that that was ok, because he was a kouziki.



Well, for the second part, there are many possibilities. For example, she doesn't have to tell orochi directly but through a messenger (unbeknown to orochi) like kyoushiro, who is denijiro (just a possibility). Etc.


Of course, I am not 100% sure about this but somehow it seems possible because shinobu or a scabbard beeing the traitor is to easy to predict 🤷‍♂️

Biggest reveal actually

I never expected wano to surpass WCi arc in enjoyment lol
But the way Oda is writing, Wano fights will be rushed, the plot too.

Act 1 was average at best
Act 2 Udon plot ...my goodness
Act 3 these flashbacks of stuff we already knew, no big reveal
Characters going retarded and pacing is rushed

So far Wano isn't even interesting as WCi

At this point, Teach will beat Shanks in one page, luffy will solo Kaido in 5 pages, WG vs Luffy will be 10 days of skips then Luffy using CoC to destroy the redline

It's Crossing the Six Paths that Oden's attack reminded me of. We've never had a great look at it, but the way Oden's swords are held is quite similar.

Also, big question is who actually stabbed Ashura? It's framed to look like King, but the hand isn't wearing any gloves like he does.

This is about the stupid flashback that DID NOT ADD ANYTHING to our present time... not a single valuable reveal. Everything that happened in the flashback we ALREADY KNEW from before the flashback started:

1- Oden was too much to handle for his father the shogun (Kinemon said it)
2- Became Daimyo of Kuri after beating Asura Douji (Kinemon said it)
3- Made Asura a retainer, one of strong three they need to recruit (Kinemon said it)
4- Oden sailed with WB (with Izo, Nekumamushi, Inuarashi) then moved to Roger's ship and Inu and Neku followed (We knew that from Zou)
5- Oden escorted Roger to finding the One Piece ( we knew that)
6- Roger disbanding the crew (Rayleigh told us that)
7- Oden getting back to Wano and fighting Kaido... giving him the scar (Hiyori told us already about the scar reveal)
8- Oden getting executed by Kaido and Orochi by being boiled in a pot like Oden food (We knew that from Zou)

Do you want me to tell you even what next chapter will be about??? because we already know what will happen:
1- The citizens will know the reason behind Oden not fighting and dacining was because he did not want casualties (as Kaido stated). After learning the truth that he wanted the helpless who would die from that battle... the whole flower country will cry for his death (Kinemon already told us that)

2- There will be an opening made either by Oden.. or by Shinobu... and Oden will take advantage of it protecting his scabbard and make them escape... cause it was hinted at that in Zou.

3- Inuarashi and Nekumamushi will get captured arguing....

4- Kinemon and co go running to Kuri to protect Toki and Momo and hiyori

5- They make the time travel

6- In the flames... Toki will give the speech about the prophecy...

That's next chapter. That's how fucking predictable and stupid the flashback is... because Oda is NOT ADDING any reveal. He's just showing wat we already knew. Which makes 10 chapters or more flashback... it makes it WASTING OUR TIME

This is 3-4 months counting the breaks he takes.

That's what we complain about... power scaling can go to hell. I couldn't care less how Oden was tekn out by one blow or that Kaido used dirty trick. I couldn't careless about that. I wanted a flashback that will tgive us at least two or three big reveals... but we got ZERO

And on top of no reveals... and not moving the story forward... Oda ruined and devalued Enma... so there is contradiction to what Hiyori stated about it being the ONLY SWORD to wound Kaido. with Ame no habakiri also injuring Kaido... Oda also made Toki the most useless character who came from the void century. What a great writing. And if a writer doesn't care about writing... then at least give me a good single entertaining fight... Nah... nothing

Next to add to it.
- Kaido immediately oneshotted Oden when he landed a free hit. So if it was a sneak attack. But Oden also sneak attacked Kaido. Endurance beast Kaido withstood it. Oden couldnt withstand Kaido's hit tho.


Also im seeing a lot of:
- "Oden looked better after the clash". In what way does he look better lol. They both landed free hits on each other
- Enma this and Enma that. Erm.... didnt Oden use both his swords to cut Kaido ?!? Nothing is special about Enma its the same as his other sword lol.



Overall this chapter was highly enjoyable and my favourite chapter of the FB. I didnt get the wholw female ninja thing. Is other female Ninja Shinobu or am I missing something ?

You can also see from up high looking down on oden. There are few more fodders around Oden being hit with Kunai... as we notice Shinobu is holding 3-4 Kunais at each hand.

So, with one hand throw, she defeated 3-4 people around Oden.... allowing Oden to proceed.. Just like how Kinemon told Oden to not worry about those small fries and he can go straight up to Kaido.
The scabbard and Shinobu were fighting the fodder soldiers and King and Queen.

At the very end. ALL of Oden, his scbbard.. and Shinobu were all captured.
But Oden protected Shinobu by caliming that he does not know her, he doesn't recognize her... and that claiming she attacked him... so that they release her from jail... Which is why she is free and walking by herself

OP in terms of fighting is getting more and more lack luster. Oda rushes the fights but extends the plot. FOR WHATT ?!?!

If he didnt create that dumb 5 year timeskip last chapter. We couldve had 2 chaps of the Scarbbards vs the BPs. All of his combat interest goes to fucking plot boi....im so fucking annoyed.:holdthisl:

It can't be hiyori, the traitor was already active in the past as implied by kaido, and hiyori was just a small girl then.

Do you guys feel the same as me? Overall I read the chapter again and again and I like it though we see not much outside of the begin and the end. But the most part with let me feel underwhelmed was the major event battle Kaido vs Oden...
I don´t know but the fight let me feel cold, my expectation for this battle was insane large and I hoped to see insane good feats of both sides, yet their fight feel little lacklust and I didn´t feel the emotion overall when both clash, it feel like Oda to rush the battle.
But not only that, the insane scar feat which we all waiting for, the only scar with Kaido take, the attack was kinda underwhelmed for me.

I place the scar scene to important scene overall in wano and im sure the scar will play later a major role when Kaido gonna getting defeated by the alliance, yet the scene was little lacklust.
Important scenes with I call epic,amazing and hype:

Scene like this are amazing and hype, it build up so much emotions alone by their feat and meanings.
Law cutting punk hazard and the smile factory was a major point.
Zoro saving Riku and showing a insane feat which even let Kanjuro and Kinemon speechless was a major point.
Luffy defeating Doflamingo was also a major point.
And be honest I see the scar feat of Oden at least at the same ball park as these aboves, if not even above because in my opinion the scar will be later a point and weakness of Kaido who the alliance will use and defeating Kaido.

Yet compare to all these scenes above, the scar feat of Oden was kinda rushed and underwhelming in my opinion. It doesn´t give us the same emotion as we expect in the previous chapter and that make it little sad overall. I don´t criticize much Oda for the 5year plot with Oden because as @dirtyLarry im sure the reason of Oden was important and make sense after we hearing it later.
But something as the current chapter, I don´t know but I feel like Oda could do it far better...

How you guys overall feel about the scar feat?

it seem Dragon Kaido have a disadvantage Vs Swordsman

but I honestly think Dragon Kaido is not in same level as Base let alone Hybrid Kaido ...

but as of now all skilled swordsman have better chance to beat Kaido that anyone else

Some people are just fanatic on power level. Oda has consistently maintained one piece is not about fights. This is not kingdom or OPM. If you dont like it take a break. Even i had the same frustruation back in dressrossawhen law flashback was ongoing ? So what did we gain from laws past ? Other than corazon and his revenge on dofla.

People are not happy with the fight .Tell me single fight which you have felt fullfilled expectation or that headcannon you carry.

Just treat as story dont expect too much. Same people will say oda is God guess what he is human just like us. He is trying his best to balance it.

What i dont like is people just constantly complain when even flashback is not over.
