why people give much attention to titles even when it is clear that is not necessary a fact but what the rumors and people say?
now many are surprised that Kaido is not necessarily is as strong as they thought, while they could have got a hint from the story itself.
Kaido was designed to be the first Yonko that get defeated by Luffy , and now even more he will go down along BM in the same arc and even
as the epithet was given to him Oda explicitly made sure not present that as a fact but a like a rumor or saying of the people
being the strongest creature is normal as epithet when you know what his DF is , Dragons are in every culture one of the strongest mythical creatures if not the strongest.
if Kaido was that much , BM being already 68 will not risk a fight with him , Shanks would not have been able to stop him , he himself will not be defeated 7 times and captured 18 times ,
it is not that he is weak , he has just a tough skin most likely because of his DF or his original form since he is not a human mostlikely as nami was asking if he is not a human.
and even Oda made sure not to call him the strongest pirate but more the strongest creature , people are not called creatures normally . and as i said Oda made sure not make that a fact but what people say

and still Kaido needed a distraction to land such attack , and why he would faint because of such attack? Zoro took more damage against Mr. 1 and didn't faint , and took Luffy's pain in one shot and was still conscious as Sanji found him stating nothing happened .

How many fodder did Luffy beat in EL? Afterwards he beat Blueno & Lucci. Oden had scabbards with him.

man we saw two pages fight it was just a glimpse of the fight. it was just a flashback of the two most important scenes of the fight to show us how Kaido got his scar and how Oden get defeated that is all.

Kaido is definitely NOT World's Strongest Creature, that's for sure.

However, the term 'creature' as used in Japanese, does refer to 'all living organisms'; not just 'beasts'.

The "people say" part is about "betting on him in a 1 v. 1". And the reason why it's a bet, is because fights are never guaranteed. You can't guarantee someone is going to win 1 v. 1. Obviously this is because Luffy will take him down 1 v. 1.

First of all, as I mentioned, Big Mom is a side piece to Kaido in his arc. That in itself should show you who is the strongest. Secondly, she was in chains, and Kaido told his subordinates to uncuff her.

Thirdly, battles between Top Tiers last at least 10 days. If you interrupted Akainu and Aokiji after 3 days, saying if Akainu was stronger he should have beaten him is nonsense. Kaido would have outlasted a 68 year old Big Mom easily.
