I personally find the Yonko's more interesting than the Admirals, the only Admiral or I guess Fleet Admiral now that I find interesting is Akainu.

Admirals are more normal dudes (design) - > so they are like more "badass" and "generic" -> ppl likes them more and find them more "interesting".
That and the fact that Yonko are at the top of the food chain so author balanced it with giving them more "rare" personalities, so that helps for these people who like the generic stuff to see Admirals even more interesting.

Nope, at least not yet. The only ones with anything even remotely interesting is the FORMER admiral Aokiji, with his alliance with BB, and Fujitora, with his desire of ending the shichibukai wich he ended up accomplishing, the others are just power houses. All the Yonko so far had actual character, with a backstory and unique desires

Not all of them are more interesting but on average, yes, admirals are more interesting. And even the least interesting Admiral Kizaru is still more entertaining than Meme or Kaido.

If we are being honest, we would admit that admirals are cool and all but there is nothing interesting about them. The yonko are the leading pirates after the One Piece (which is what the story is about), knows a little (or a lot) about the history, have weird bodies (BB, Kaido and Big Mom).
We will learn nothing about the One Piece world with Akainu backstory or Kizaru's one.

Only interesting Marine is Garp because he is the father of the revolutionary leader and one the most famous and infamous pirate. How did it happen, who was Luffy's grandmother and mother. What happened between Garp and his son?
