I'm not inherently opposed to the big kaiju style fights. The Sannin did a good job of it. But Kishi wrote ninjutsu far too magically later on. Susano'o was just not interesting once it could be pulled out without consequences and the bijuu got real boring when they just spammed giant mountain destroying energy balls. At least with the Sannin in Part 1, they still relied on classic ninjutsu.

+ Hand seals became redundant which was just BS. You had Hiruzen sacrifice himself to render Oro's hands useless just for people to use ninjutsu without any hand seals later in the story. Like what.
