Oda decided Luffy needed to get stronger in order to beat a Yonko so he gave them a last minute escape. I highly doubt he planned to kill anyone but Pedro off

Nothing.

Oda is good at creating an interesting world and tease some interesting looking mysteries (void century, Laugh Tale etc.).

When it comes to actual execution of the plot he's a bang average shonen mangaka. In some ways actually even below-average (pacing, fake tension, wrapping up arcs).

Seems like he is indeed affected and gets weaker just standing there is draining his powers, Zunesha has been walking on the sea for centuries carrying an island on his back i think it's very unlikely he is a df user
