Wikia lists Red Roc as a combination of "Elephant Gun and Red Hawk", but that's clearly false.

Elephant Gun is much bigger than Roc Gun/Red Roc in size. So this Roc Gatling is smaller than Elephant Gatling.

To me the difference between Roc Gatling and Elephant Gatling is the difference between Kong Organ and Kong Gatling.

One is faster/can spawn more attacks but is less impactful.

Yeah. Roc Gun is just a smaller/faster version of Elephant Gatling. Luffy has a lot of "Hawk" moves without Red/flames. Hawk Rifle, whip, etc...

No. It's nothing to do with Haki. Flames were being used since Dressrosa.

The new Hakis are just stacked on top and do more damage but it's not changing the nature of the move.
