I think Luffy mastered Gears stacking probably thanks to Adv CoC. This allows him to move as fast as G2 while having G3 firepower which is more useful than G4 in long battle.

Now the questions are : G4 only be used as a finisher or will Luffy find a way to diminish the draw back like he did with G3? Will Luffy be able to stack G2, G3 and G4?

The seastone training allowed him to master gear stacking.

Red Rock is Gear 2 + Gear 3 olus advanced coa haki.

Not gonna lie , while I have kaido => Akainu ; Serious kaido's reflex , speed much better than akainu plus Kaido also showed good defense technique

Kaido's forte is his defense , A fresh g4 current luffy can't put a fresh hybrid kaido down

Current kaido has taken so many attacks his health bar and stamina is decreasing with addition to lifting an island

Also luffy has fed recently increasing his stamina , g4 luffy forcing current kaido into awakening is fine

but current luffy wont need to go g4 early
he will deal damage in base g3 g4th just fine

am not entirely disagreeing with you but luffy has referred to this as a 1v1
kaido has referred to this as a 1v1
at the end of the battle If oda implies luffy has surpassed him then arguing technicalities like the damages kaido had before the 1v1 started or lifting the island wont matter.

why is it bad for Law and Kidd to lose? Unlike Luffy, they haven't had a dozen powerups tossed at them.

As expected from Steven-chin and Sen-chan, cant provide bad performance from top tiers. I told yall several times, wishing that Luffy is a top tier doesnt make him a top tier.

All you need to deal with is that MC is not a top tier. But his underling has been a top tier the whole time. Hard thing to swallow but it is what it is.
