Here’s the thing.
A COC Bagua from Hybrid Kaido should be much more powerful than the one that KO’d Boundman in 923.

Which means that you either have to accept
1) Law’s durability went from bullet level to surpassing Gear 4’s
2) Oda is inconsistent as Fuck
Probably because Law used His defensive technique "Curtain" in the same chapter

But he doesn’t use it against the Bagua.

Hell he doesn’t even react to the Bagua.
We don't know if he needs to redo the technique every time, or it's a limited-time mode.
From Wiki.
  • Curtain (抗菌武装カーテン, Kāten?, literally meaning "Antibiotic Armament"): A defensive technique. Law makes a pulling motion with his arm stretched horizontally in front of him, which generates what appears to be a protective, transparent veil between himself and his opponent, akin to surgical draping. The kanji for this technique may indicate Law's possible employment of Busoshoku Haki to perform it. It was first used to defend against Kaidou, but Law was still sent flying by his attack, so it is unknown if the move was any effective in reducing damage in some way.[50] In the Viz manga, the technique is called Antibacterial Curtain. The kanji for this move reads Koukin Busou.

Anti-bacterial curtains are stationary in real life.
