If that is what Oda wanted to do then he should have done it properly without having the emperor whole story line be completely useless. Why not actually have them fight Kaido instead? Why did Oda even bring Big Mom into Wano for? Kidd Law and Luffy fighting Kaido is a much better narrative then defeating 2 yonkos at the same time. That does not make any sense. It is Fairy Tail type power ups.

It’s better this way, Law and Kidd solidified themselves as Luffy’s rivals again. Makes for a more interesting world where other characters aren’t just Luffy’s supporting cast, and other characters aside from SHs actually have impact. Luffy already won back in WCI if you ask me where everything went the SH’s way.

Making Luffy defeat her after Kaido would be pointless. She’s basically Kaido girl version, and no tension would be left if Luffy already on her level the next time they fight. Now the new generation plotline Oda wants is relevant again, and chaos in the world will officially start after Wano

How much chapter/panels kidd appears in again? He feels far from a MC And law for entirety of wano didn't show his rivalry against luffy

You are not reading my post. My main argument for her defeat is that everything about her is pointless and could have been removed. Why did we have a backstory of her? It can be removed. Why did we have that dialouge of her and pespero for? It could be removed. So many useless things about her that can be completely removed from the story and nothing will change.

At least portrayal-wise Kidd and Law rekindled that supposed rivalry. They now have the feat to back it up

I agree with you but unfortunately it's the truth. Kaido, Luffy, Zoro and Yamato all shined because of this. And big mom literally has it, so her not showing it, is not weird for you ?

Because Luffy has to be as strong as an emperor very soon. If you hate "Fairy Tail" power ups then why read one piece? It's been a thing since pre timeskip it's nothing new now. And how is big moms story useless? The point was to show that Luffy Kid and Law can tangle with the rulers of the seas. If they fought together it wouldn't be as impactful

--I am not talking about power levels though ; Kidd/law defeating BM does feel out of place as they are not main characters of the story (especially kidd)

--Zoro and sanji defeating BM would have been more fulfilling ; I can understand about luffy having rivals but luffy barely had any in most of OP
