Which part of 'They will defeat Kaido' (according to spoiler text) did you not understand? Ofc Luffy will defeat Kaido but not alone.

The part where 'the main character' is singular but 'them' is plural.

The whole translation is iffy. Oda won't say things like 'the main character' or 'peak'. But the point is, I think Oden is referring to Joyboy, and there can't be multiple Joyboys.

This thread exists so that we can discuss the currently available spoilers and that's all I'm doing. You mean he DIDN'T get beaten in this war where his whole crew was annihilated or did he get a scar from God valley which we don't know about

When Kaido said he killed the old woman, he could have been referring to the Kurozumi woman, or to Hyou's wife, but what if it was meant as an insult to Toki, who Kaido might have assumed was already dead by then?!

Like, "don't worry about your wife, I had her killed already"
Or
"Don't worry about the old woman" (implying that Kaido knew Toki was from the VC and was "old")

Marineford war happened 22 years ago, not 20 years ago.

Nah, Katakuri is good (except after Merienda). Cracker stands no chance. As stated, an army fights on the ground. KKG challenged Doffy to an "aerial battle".
