My rankings for the fights, choreography wise. So I’m not dropping or raisinf fights for having poor plot behind it.
And keep in mind I expect more from certain characters than others, so say, I expect more from a fight with Zoro/Sanji than Franky/Robin, and my rankings reflect that.
(Luffy vs Kaido)
Zoro vs King
Robin vs Black Maria
I think were all very good, for a One Piece fight anyway. And still more to come with Luffy, but anytime he’s went one vs one with Kaido it’s been good. Might turn into a horror, but I think it’ll be good.
Kid and Law vs Big Mom
Killer vs Hawkins
Jinbei vs WW
Were all pretty good. K/L vs BM had a good last chapter to finish it off, which is always good when you stick the landing. Jinbei vs WW was just a really nice, solid fight, good action, good choreography, if WW had been stronger I’d put it higher. And Killer vs Hawkins was really cool and it’s only so low because we didn’t get enough of it, only a chapter
Franky vs Sasaki
Is sort of in its own category, was decent, would have been in the above category with another chapter.
Sanji vs Queen
Inu and Neko vs Jack and Perospero
Nami and Usopp (feat Big Mom) vs Ulti and Page One
Were all shit fights. Really just didn‘t have much going for them at all. I expect a lot better from a Calamity fight than what those two were (I also expect Sanji fights to have better choreography, or just any choreography) and Oda just shit the bed entirely with the bottom two.
