Character Discussion Law is both cooler and better written than Zoro

#81
A thing that have to be recognized about Zoro, is that Oda was able to made with him a very unlikely thing in manga. Some people compare Zoro with Vegeta or Sasuke, in the idea of them being the "rival" of the protagonist, but thats totally nonsense, Kid, Law and expecially Teach are those rivals for Luffy, the place Zoro take in the story is much more akin to Shikamaru or Killua, the buddy, the friend that will stay at the side of the protagonist no matter the problem, but while normally this buddy start to get behind the protagonist and lose space in the story, like how happend with Kuririn, Ishida and Renji. Oda was able to made a character that normally take a side position to become a central one, and one of the most loved, and make beliaveble that he can stay at Luffy side.

What’s Zoro’s arc post TS.

Pre TS he said he would let Luffy die before sacrificing his dream, but then near the end he was willing to sacrifice himself and his dream for Luffy.

There was a clear arc.

Post TS Zoro is literally just an NPC who does cool demon stuff every now and then.
Isn't Wano Zoro's arc? Seeing the emphasis that he has I would assume that it is. And Thriller Bark wasn't Zoro's arc like WCI was to Sanji.

I only just checked in on this thread. Pls summarize in 3-4 sentences.
He even had character development within the context of the King fight...accepting his status as a conqueror and deciding to embrace it for the sake of both his dream and Luffy's dream

Then after the fight:

Zoro's lineage and relation to Ryuma has been teased multiple times, especially here:

So there are clearly unresolved plot-points left for Zoro in Wano and he's already had a mini character-arc

Better backstory?
Check.

Cooler and more creative moveset?
Check.

Better design and clothing?
Check.

Not wonder Law makes Zoro stans so insecure. Zoro looks like an off brand Walmart character in comparison.

Edit:
To the clowns below, Zoro literally doesn’t have a character arc post TS.

Because Zoro fanboys love to pick fights with everyone
And don't forget Law has gotten more screen time than Zoro since Dressrosa. Zoro power ups are just ass pulls.
Is zoro even a character?

Typical worstgen member.

Trash talking about a character from chapter to chapter.

When the one chapter comes out, where a certain character beats one things change.

People start positive powerscaling threats etc PP.

Another example is right here lol

Imagine being a Zoro fan but you have Luffy’s “D” initial in your name…..the clownery is never ending

Quite the simple evolution, but it's great nonetheless. Him accepting than he can also be a King alongside Luffy makes their relationship even more enjoyable and realistic

I’ll be honest. I want to like Zoro but his fans make me keep my distance from him. I only ever get toxic when his fans get toxic and I feel like I’ve already become too toxic for it.

Imagine calling somebody a crayon eater just because they’re upset that you have an opinion about a character or making endless copium threads about Zoro’s imaginary feats soloing Yonkos. That’s the level of insecurity and toxicity you’ll encounter from the Zoro club.

With Law and Kidd and hell even Sanji fans I have no problem joining their cheer every now and then when their characters get shine.
