Zoro still doesn't properly understand it. He failed at using it against Kaido with his Onigiri, and needed to "unleash more of Enma" to actually cut him.
Killer, who was his near equal before Zoro got Enma, marvelled at Zoro's growth and his ability to cut through Kaido's scales.

Also do not understand the claim that Oda is throwing around.
Through the adventure of Luffy, we literally meet the elite of the world, basically, to quote Bernie, the 1% of the 1%. In East Blue we met Mihawk, Luffy first GL opponent was a Shichibukai, elite of the elite, then a god, a legendary government assasin and so forth, and even among all of them, we only have 17 confirmed CoC users.
Extrapolate that to the world, the rarity claim holds up.

Both zoro and yamato have shown tremendous will power.
Yamato is going against her father's (WSC) will from when she was a kid.
Zoro from when he was a kid he showed determination and will power quite unique for his age.
Yamato never stopped trying even if the odds were against her and same goes for zoro and that's the qualities of a king.
The only thing that someone can actually say is that zoro used adv CoC the very same moment he activate basic CoC but there are things to consider.
It was never implied in the manga that you have to use CoC for a period of time before you go to the next level, CoC it's not like CoA or CoO.
Kaido's words made it clear that only a few can use this power and those are the strongest in the world.
Zoro and yamato definitely look like people who will be among the strongest.
If training waw the way to achieve adv CoC then dofla would have it too.

COC shouldnt even exist, its reasoning is stupid, example was, you got to be willed, not a person to give up, like shit, , just for you to have it, but that attitude can be seen also to none coc users,
also it was said to be destined worthy, standing tall than the others?? a king chosen by heaven itself, blah blah,
then you have Ace who's WhiteBeard D* sucker willing to make his fake papa PK, WB also giving way to his rival roger cause he admire him for having bigger cojones.
also the capability surround it, its all bullshit, COC was used for Validation of strong people, but only been effective to weaklings, bigmom used coc to pageone, but not to law and kid,.

They’re at least putting it to good use. And as the future WSS and right hand man of the PK, Zoro should always have been someone who would get CoC. Yamato’s took on a Yonko one vs one and has inherited Oden’s dream.
Doffy, Katakuri, Chinjao? Nothing changes if you take CoC away from them, they were just there to give Luffy some cool looking CoC clashes. They’re the ones for me who stand out as really not needing CoC at all and “cheapening” it.

coc was the only haki im complaining with, lol not the whole haki thing, didnt we have onlt 3 of them? also it's not about complexity, Haki was not that even hard to understand, infact it was so simple,
