Who would've thought it would be Harden that would raise Ben's trade value lol. Just shows again that superstars have the leverage and Morey banked on one that would want to play for them and it was his boi again... Agent Harden

Funny looking back on this stuff that was just a couple of pages back... It actually happened
Sure but the deadline isn't over yet. I still can't comprehend that it may happen in the deadline but there's still a chance that they might talk again as it gets closer
Imagine if Harden actually leaves via free agency, then holy shit would the Rockets win. If they traded Harden to Philly for Simmons and a guy and maybe a pick, then they got him for less than the package they offered HOU. They have buyer's remorse just like the Celtics trade almost 10 years ago (ugh)
On one hand, tough to give up now where the team is still arguably the favorite to win the championship
On the other hand, I wanted him to go to Philly last year. Might not be the same player as before but he's still a better player and better fit for Embiid than Simmons
We'll see how this goes. As exciting as this is to see with Embiid's current monster season, it is stronger for them to trade for Harden in the offseason so that the Nets will be scared of Harden leaving for nothing. It's what we said again about what the Knicks should've done with Melo in 2011 although this looks like it wouldn't be as much (maybe)
Morey was really able to pull that off while still keeping Maxey and Thybulle, that is a win in of itself. Getting Harden on top of that just makes the trade that much more impressive. Philly looking like a legit playoff threat on paper, in before Harden chokes tho.
Simmons should do pretty well in Brooklyn, there’s no pressure on him to be a scorer at all. Might as well average 5 points and they’d still be good since they got KD and Kyrie. His defense and passing is what the Nets need the most and he is more than capable of helping them there.
As much of a joke the Kings front office looked with trading Haliburton, Sabonis/Fox could be something especially if Mitchell can become their third star.
Also the Celtics just robbed Derrick White from the Spurs lmao
It happened faster than a bullet, thought it wasn’t anything serious till it actually happened. Harden basically gave up just cuz of the losing streak they were on.

In before he complains again about not being the primary ballhandler in the playoffs like he did with Butler... or maybe he's insecure now after that Hawks fiasco
I knew they didn't play much together but I didn't know it was this low

I think he’ll be the primary ball handler by default because Kyrie is gonna miss half the games they’ll play in the post season anyway. I don’t think the Nets will have him standing around when he doesn’t have the ball, probably gonna be setting screens and rolling. They have the spacing to give him opportunities, comes down to his initiative tbh.
I don’t even remember the big 3 playing together that much, so that number sounds about right. It was always one guy out. But they barely did anything, crazy to think how they could’ve won the championship last year if they were healthy. Bucks almost buckled to KD and Harden on one leg.
