One piece is shit, I think Luffy should look cool but Oda is making both Luffy and Kidd look bad I don’t know why he is doing this? Luffy should be able to defeat Kaido 1 vs 1, just make it happen and please state that Luffy is actually stronger than Kaido.

I don’t care about symbolically surpassing Kaido as Joy Boy because some stupid shit as oh Luffy is a better Joy Boy because he relies on his friends. To me surpassing someone means being able to hit harder than them

then it will be a clear confirmation that Luffy defeated Kaidou in a one on one fight, and therefore surpassed him.
And then anyone who claims that Luffy "didn't really beat Kaidou by his own merit, but only thanks to the accumulated damage dealt by others" will be basically trying to contest the perception of the author of the series, who decided to recognize the third round as a 1 vs 1 fight by itself rather than just the final part of one big fight of 1 vs many opponents.

Hahaha yeah, its really ironic like that! I've seen some genuinely briliant stuff and wonderful art get made for the memes or "other reasons" too! It's like these reasosn bring out people's creativity and talent out even more than usual, more passion and such?

Well Oda can “just” say that he’s strong enough for a one vs one, it’s not good if you can’t overcome obstacles completely by yourself, it’s not pirate-like and there’s no sense of achievement here. Any top tier can replicate the same feat if he had the same amount of support and if Oda doesn’t think Luffy’s strong enough he could have delayed their confrontation
