Instead in that scene, Nami slapped Sanji because she felt betrayed by him. Her reason for coming to WCI was because she trusted Sanji, she wanted him with them on the crew and she was damn sure that she could convince Sanji to come back because of the bond they shared. Yet Sanji refused to come back to the crew, which hurt Nami emotionally and made her feel betrayed.

hmmmm fair points but i felt you left out some panels nami did infact shed a tear when sanji was ripping into luffy when she was telling him to stop she does care for the crew ingeneral she was disappointed when usopp and luffy fought cause she thought they both were disputing over a stupid reason but usopp did not disrespect luffy it was a fair duel and usopp got bodied in this situation it wasnt luffy was getting straight fucked by sanji like no hit being trade thats why she said and i quote "he fought so hard for you" so she is disappointed in sanji but she feels bad for luffy cause she knew what he had been through just to get here its her crew not a shipping thing but the luna thing does make sense cause it shows she really respects luffy oh yeah as a matter of fact nami was crying when luffy almost tore off his own arms for its clear she deeply cares for luffy no one can deny that simple answer sanji got slapped for luffy you even proved that other guys why is she disappointed simple sanji did the same thing luffy denied the statement that cracker made sanji did the same thing they fought for hours for sanji shes disappointed in him because luffy believed in him and her too she slapped on behalf of the captain cause luffy did not she cried when usopp left too dont forget they're still a crew and you have to keep in mind nami was begging for sanji to stop she felt bad luffy was doing nothing and he didnt even stop his own captain she even looked at luffy with sympathy when he fell

She argued with Luffy himself during the scene because she didn’t want him to get hurt anymore and wanted him to leave so that he wouldn’t get beaten anymore.

It was never about her. That’s why she mentioned during the fight that Luffy had just gotten out of a fight with a commander.

In that final scene, she’s crying as she’s listening to Luffy tell Sanji despite what happened that he’d still wait for him, and is consistent with what comes later.

It is peak dishonesty to even pretend that Nami was acting for anybody other than Luffy. She watched Luffy get his ass whipped and stepped in because he wouldn’t defend himself. She slapped the fuck out of Sanji because he beat the hell out of someone who was only trying to help him, and did so when he didn’t defend himself. This person is also the most important person on the crew and to Nami, and she watched as this person was beaten unconcious and repeatedly insulted and thought that it was unforgivable. To say that it had anything to do with anything other than Luffy is nonsensical. They, not she, came to WCI because they, not she, wanted to get Sanji back because they, not she, felt responsible for not being able to do anything to stop him, as brook noted, and all it got was Luffy getting his ass kicked for no reason. That’s why she slapped him.
