excellent chapter, opens the possibility of kaido's surrender and assimilation of his defeat, when luffy gets up, his will will eclipse kaido's (in fact in chapter 1040 or 1041 luffy mentions kaido's will) then luffy will fight with his last breath and will defeat a kaido resigned to losing, so luffy will have defeated the most powerful living being on earth, but he will not be there yet, leaving room for more growth in subsequent arcs.

It sounds pretty good tbh:

- New drunk forms
- Confirmation that Luffy can change G4 forms when he wants.
- At least one new Boundman attack + Kaido attack (might be more in the chapter)
- Not a Vs chapter, indicating the fighting is far from over (even if Luffy "loses" this chapter).

I'd say this is pretty great setup for a Kaido flashback and Luffy's awakening now.
