Seems less Joyboy and more Sun God Nika imo. Joyboy was a person and Kaido is just trying to exact what he thinks is his will by "becoming" him. Hence why Yamato probably copies him with the Oden stuff.

Nika is actually tied to WsW's discussion with Luffy's DF. Granted, it might not even be related to either figure, but something else entirely.

Like I said I was incredibly mad and sad at what happens this chapter, then I learn of Drake's "role" and it thought "woah that's some Ls lol" and it kind of cheers me up because I found it so funny, the 1% survival make so much sense now (and didn't Luffy had 19%? And he was supposed to fight emperors)

Ah yeah, thats completely understandable. I'm very frustrated with how Oda is wasting Drake and thus Sword too. Drake feels like another Jack and Smoothie situation.

Aye, the 1% thing does make a lot more sense now too. Luffy and Zoro were said to be 19% by Hawkins when they faced him I believe? I think Hawkins told Killer he had a 892% chance of losing/dying or something too?

Lmfao imagine Kaido who wanted to be Joyboy and told the guy who he beat earlier and a few times now that he couldn't be Joyboy, only to turn around and awaken as Joyboy, to become him in front of Kaido and then kick his ass?! Kaido gets beaten by the new actual Joyboy?!

That would lead into a glorious death for him too somehow potentially! Maybe Kaido gets a new lease of life and decides to go out on a high like how Whitebeard went out on such a high too?

I have thought for a long time that Luffy will bring Kaido a new lease of life, to re-awaken that vigor of his from his youth that we've now see in King's flashback and how Big Mom was similar in her brief flashback here too.

But Oden said Joy Boy will visit Wano 20+ years later in future. He was planning to open the country and welcome him at promised port.

Honestly, Kaido could go on a Kizaru and Kuma style rampage but his would be more "genuine" in regards to Kuma and he could cause his own Sabaody style incident after all, as I hoped for this raid (and Morj ironically), but not completely hopeful.

I was saying I don't want a pyrrhic victory in MHA for it's final but it would be more gratifying to see and read, same for One Piece here. A war on 2 Yonkos should have actual major casualities and now one of those Yonkos and most of the enemy alliance is down and beaten already with a bunch of death fake outs on the Samurai/SH alliance, sigh....

100%. Can't wait for Oda to elaborate on this. I wanna know how and why he met Xebec and joined Rocks at such a young age too. if he learned of Joyboy from Xebec and such too. Or maybe heard Roger mentioning it at God's Valley or so? Kaido is definitely influenced a lot by this whole JB thing. I bet Xebec might have wanted to be JB too.

Sorry guys but just to let to you know I am taking a break. These updated spoilers broke me. Oda has broken me emotionally and mentally.
I know it sounds like an overreaction but I can't stand thus absolutely abysmal atrocious writing anymore.

I won't delete my account but I won't be on here and thus posting for a while. Idk how long but given we get 3 chapters a month and only 36 in a year and Oda is dragging this shit out, I might just take a break until August, when Film Red comes out and I'm assuming we'll finally have Shanks in the manga hopefully and Oda can actually ruin him too finally.

Oda is purposely making clowns out of us and I have no intentions of being part of his childish, insane circus whims and ambitions.

I absolutely fucking hate what happened this chapter and how Kaido is behaving. Its genuinely sickening/disgusting.

I'm taking a break to try and save what's left of my dwindling mental health. Thank you anyway for your support as well as everyone else ofc.
