I like how that's fairytale piece but Naruto and Bleach RELIED on that trope for years.

When one piece decides to maybe do it after 25 years it's bad. When other shonen do it it's a gift from god apparently

I agree the fight this chapter was cool but Luffy tanked way too many hits for it to be believable

Yeah, i mean, if Oda hadn't made Luffy look dead after a regular Thunder Bagua without Kaido's CoC coating, i would be fine with it...

Oda doesn't like to make that much sense when the matter is Luffy

I thought that it was close but a serious Kaido is still too much for Luffy

No wonder considering all what Kaido went through.

Also folks underrated the scar Zoro gave him. He probably contributed better than Luffy did during round 1 by just pulling that off.

@Paperchampion23 @Tyki_Mikk I think you guys have to be open to the possibility that Kaido is already awakened. The blood lust drunk form is what we expected from an awakened carnivore. Oda might reveal in an SBS that Kaido was awakened the entire time lol

Luffy beating Kaido 1V1 is essential to ZKK happening

And I feel that a lot of Zoro fans don't understand that.

Zoro ain't beating King + killing Kaido in an arc where Luffy doesn't even get to win a single 1V1, this isn't how Oda writes, Luffy always gets the most shine.

I’d say bleach did it the best, and it’s only fairy tail piece if Luffy suddenly loses all of his powers and gets significantly weaker next fight.

If you didnt think One Piece was fairy tail during Alabasta, you are lost. Luffy survived crocodile 3 times and 1 one day. He managed to walk off an injury caused by Crocodile's hook and the second time, some droplets of water conveniently dropped in his mouth when Crocodile sucked everything in him.
