At this point, there is 90% chance the situation turning out like this:

Kaido: so you are new Joy boy, Shank, Oden, Roger, Nika...

Luffy: I am a monstrous samurai as well. GEAR 5th, Katana Man! I can turn my body into really sharp blade!

Kaido: Ohhh You are samurai as strong as Oden! You are definitely new Sword God! Please kill me alreadyyyy

Wano citizens: All hail our sword god, Luffy...
:milaugh:

Yeah Luffy's clearly a samurai
Samurai is just the name of Wa no fighters
BTW the way the alliance is called Samurai Army

Agree Luffy too stronk

To add on, it's genuinely silly to think Luffy will be deemed the "monster samurai." If it's not Zoro, there will be no "monster samurai" title.

Luffy said it himself:

"I can't be a samurai without one"

From Luffy's own perspective, he's not a samurai. In fact, he can only pretend to be one either way, because a samurai in One Piece is a warrior from Wano (especially/typically a swordsman). We know beyond all reasonable doubt at this point that Luffy is not from Wano.

However, Zoro is VERY likely to have originated from Wano. I think this speaks for itself:

In fact, there's evidence that Zoro considers himself a samurai. Zoro said he wants to become the King of Hell (Jigoku no Ou). The word "Jigoku" has an alternative meaning that refers to samurai.

Luffy being deemed the "monster samurai" would be about as terrible as him being named the greatest cook or the greatest navigator. He'd be stepping far, FAR too deep into the territories of his crewmates.

This Tread is stupid. If Oda will get back to that statement, it obviously refers to Zoro since his origin are from Wano.

Thinking of Luffy as a monster samurai is the same of thinking Kaido is the world strongest Swordsman.
:seriously:

Kaido already recognized Luffy's strength, he already respect him as much as the 5 figures, but of course he doesn't see him as the monster samurai, guess why he isn't a samurai :choppawhat:

It has been hinted at since pre time skip Zoro is a samurai for those who have forgotten

Both Luffy and Zoro shares several Parallels with Oden.
Sorry but for Kaido only one of them is at least Oden level

It's your logic
Since base luffy did more than snakeman and boundman
Base luffy >>>>
When base Luffy did more damage than Snakeman or Boundman ?

You are still coping because Base Luffy did more damages with a few punches than Ashura did ?
