Maybe its just kaido's metaphor of saying you guys are not around oden's level.

Also poorly translated online texts can be read as kaido is waiting for someone to surpass oden. So far luffy was only person who pushed him and he is not samurai. The context of the panel might be missing .

I certainly think oda has plans for kaido beyond wano . I just dont see him getting killed in one arc. If oda can keep freaking pound alive i ll say to zoro fans not to take every panel as hints . Oda has been really unpredictable regarding who lives or dies in series.

They don't share anything
Luffy was clinging on and got hurt
Kaido was fine
Both were hurt
Both fell down, got white eyes and both could get UP and attack before the opponent attacks a second time
All of this back to back
Both are also the strongest attack of their users
On top of that both were used for the final clash

Cope as much as you want manga isn't on your side

I know WG is full of unfortunate people with subpar reading capabilities, but I'll try dumb it down.

Samurai: "Samurai, member of the Japanese warrior caste. The term samurai was originally used to denote the aristocratic warriors (bushi), but it came to apply to all the members of the warrior class that rose to power in the 12th century and dominated the Japanese government until the Meiji Restoration in 1868."

Zoro: Roronoa Zoro is the world-famous swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates who created this style; using his original Two Sword Style as the basis of most of Three Sword Style techniques, which also incorporates dual wielding.

Luffy: Free-style fighters, who use just their bodies, are considered 'brawlers' or 'street fighters' and not a martial artist. An advantage of free-style is adaptation, free-stylers are not bound by the forms and exercises of style-base fighters. The best example of the free-style fighter is Monkey D Luffy.

Only an idiot would think that the guy that doesn't wield a sword, is the "Samurai" in question because he's the MC. Bunch of idiots :milaugh:

Its Luffy. Luffy was directly compared to Oden by kaido and Luffy vs kaido parallels Oden vs Kaido due to the interference at the end.

People keep bringing up zoro's wano heritage, but mark my words, Its only a matter of time before Oda reveals that Joyboy had some deep ties to wano.
