I know, this way we try to make it a "subtle, step by step" power up but at the same time it is a huge plot convinience that Luffy is always forgiven after being KO. I mean, its a life or death situation literally why is he getting away with so many defeats? Lol this should have been handled in other way...
I believe Oda didn't know how to write Kaido's defeat on the first place...

I don't see a problem, Luffy is a against the current Strongest in the Verse...its only natural that its an uphill battle.

Losing more than times that he lost to Crocodile shows how much of a threat Kaido is and shows that he's the antagonist that Luffy struggled the most again

If Luffy lost only once or twice then defeated Kaido there would be constantly complaints about Kaidou not living up to the hype, Oda is preserving Kaido's hype.

Luffy most likely will not lose this many times against any other antagonist probably not even Imu because at that time he will probably be top 5 at worst

I think the problem started when Oda made kaidou OS luffy the 1st time. Now every KO just kills whatever tension thats left bit by bit. Like I said, its feels more like training for luffy than an actual life or death situation.

The best thing to do was to leave BM out of Wano or at least rooftop and have the five SN gang up on Kaido while retreating, recovering, and backing each other up, with Yamato eventually joining them to help.

Would've made the whole thing more fun and believable than giving Luffy a 1v1 while constantly losing and getting sudden powerups like ACoC after one attack and telepathy while he was knocked out cold.

Then how would you make it believable for luffy to defeat Blackbeard in a 1v1 or should that also be a group fight, the luffy also fight a group fight against all his post wano enemies

Considering that some people are getting funny ideas that Luffy is as strong as Kaido, he needs to lose couple of more times, just for it to sink in really good that he is nowhere close to Kaido and probably never will be. :milaugh:

I thought about this after the chapter
Kaido said to luffy he is not the only one who can se in the future...
Why would oda show this in this chapter ?
My thought about this is what if the last clash between luffy and kaido with the cp0 guy distracting luffy was what kaido saw will happen in the future thats why we se him so in shock and thinking in his mind "CP0" .
And in the next chapter we see him attacking the cp0 guy (and hopefully send him flying right to mary goise 🤩)and actually saving luffy from happening the same thing to him as with oden 20 years before.
Thats my thoughts about that:choppawhat:
