An important piece of context here actually is why the fuck would odd gift me?

He must know I barely read game and am far less useful than others?

And as town what reason would he really have to town read me?

Now that I think of it, I would probably be the safest person for scum to buff to gain a bit of credit.

All true, at the same time there's also less reason to bother gifting anything for cred. I think he still needs to be grilled a bit at some point, and then re-evaluate from there. To be honest, my working theory was he was one of Ultra's guards, but with him gifting you something that theory holds less water.
