Your points there are correct, you don't put much stock in a claim, so a kill is the only way to confirm for you? That mostly just says to me that you don't trust Mango.

I'm not saying we give him a pass but its enough to dial down the heat somewhat given we have all but confirmed scum that need to be dealt with

With my sceptics hat on, its possible hes just referring to another action juliet may have carried out I guess, but it seems too convenient

It could be that ppl targeting our little sheep mango get automatically redirected to the actual lich king, or the LK tanks some stuff that hits mango

Which could explain why my rolecrush never made it to mango, but where did it go

I think its likely hes just lying and crafted a good fake with theme knowledge but with a logical hole in it

Theres nothing in his play that identifies him as town to me

No, I wouldn't say a kill is the only way to confirm him. But he hasn't done much in his threadplay to have me read him as town, and he has some degree of evidence against him too. In general, I'm pretty against the notion that you just confirm people through kills, it's a losing strategy.
