Which is not true. Luffy having the ability to attract the people around him, wanting to be the freest man and pushing slaves (Wano Samurai) into fighting for their freedom, is what makes a hero. And it's not the first time he fought for the sake of others.

One Piece fanboy logic, "I hate Naruto because it turned out he was a destined child but I like One Piece because Oda is handling the destined child better". Nothing you say will convince them. It has become literally a cult to worship everything Oda writes.

So? A hero isn't defined by always doing what you consider morally right. Especially since Luffy freed those criminals in the context of breaking out of Impel Down, get to Marineford and save his brother. And what about him inspiring other people to follow his footsteps? He is a noble kind of pirate, most of his opponents were either evil counter parts or even government officials who truly are evil, all for the sake of other people. Let's look at Naruto's career in comparison.

So luffy is cool for sacrificing civillians who can not protect themselves to save ace while naruto is wrong for obito and sasuke who were royally fucked over by the ninja world?
