Questions & Mysteries Why is it that only Luffy's fight has tension?

zoro fight had a little bit of tension, but it disappeared the moment zoro unlocked advcoc. Kid and law never had tension the moment oda made bigmom a fool and letting her forgetting how to use advcoc.
I hear people complaining about the number of times Luffy lost but no one is talking about how everyone just won their fights so easily to the extent that kaido is currently carrying the whole tension in onigashima. None of the other fights in onigashima had any tension.
It is the same for most arc but people don't really appreciate Luffys win, if luffy lost to any of his opponents, the shs would have lost.

Ironically retards from this site says no 'tension' in Luffy fight when it is Luffy all the time has extreme diff wins.

It's the opposite for me
Law and Kid vs BM had the most tension for me

i hear ppl say we were in wano for 5 years I literally dont know what ods did in that time but im sure it could have been done in 30-40 chapters 8f he didnt jump from plotline to plotline.

anyway wano lacks tension because even in fishman island people knew the strawhats were probably going to go to elbaf after wano. so its been ten years of knowing Luffy is going to fight Kaidou and go to elbaf. compare that to water 7 where even after losing to an admiral the main villian was hidden in plain sight and was from a group we never heard of with ambitions we couldnt understand.

it wasnt ambihous how strong enel and crocodile were they were literally changing the landscape with they smirked and laughed. kaidous in a castle drunk crying hoping to be beat. im pretty sure if I was a kid this would be the point I lost interest in anime. it reminds me of dbz after the freeiza saga where they kind of went the merchandise route rather than trying to give us steallar content.

arcs dont matter, storylines dont matter. you have to deliver good cintent every panel and leave us in a sense of awe. when Cooking good food their is a sixth tadte something that once was hard to describe called umami. anime doesnt have a word for this but when Nami is stabbing her self in the arm it was good umami. Kaidou seeing a picture of shanks, roger, oden, amd whitebeard despite the fact that his daughter and BM can use it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Because Oda doesn't know how to develop other characters and he does not know how to flesh out fights. He doesn't have the talent for it. A perfect example of this is Usopp. Usopp unlocked observation 10 years ago and guess what, Oda has yet to mention it nor develop it.

The guy who is laughing in his fight and turning fights into cringe fest is the one who brings tension? :kobeha:
Luffy's fights, Kaido isnt Luffy's fight, never had tension. Other elements were used for tension.
Like ticking time bomb, buster call, Plotcage, poison gas, Noah falling, Kazenbo and bombs...

You're saying Zoro's fight had tension until he got his powerup, but does that mean that if Luffy powers up after this and beats Kaido easily, his fight will have had no tension? We shouldn't be judging a fight's tension only after it's finished.

Also, Luffy's fight has no tension in fact it's the opposite. We're not worried for Luffy, everyone's waiting for how hilariously OP he'll end up being.

Rereading King vs Zoro pre powerup was really intense. It felt like Zoro was out up options, not even shi shi son son worked, and even zoro getting overpowered in sword clashes. I can't wait to see it animated.

Its honestly close to be being my favorite fight of Wano, at least the early stages of the fight.

its the opposite .......
kidd and law's fight had the most tbh cause the outcome was so unknown

getting knocked out and waking up right after with a pu and seemingly little consequences right after isnt tension.
Post automatically merged:

Kaido "killing" Luffy debunked the notion of "Luffy's fights having no tension" argument.
its the opposite zdg
made the threat of death as far as his character is concerned something minor
