Better to kill her no? Her fruit isn't useful to the beast pirates, it's literally their kryptonite. At best they could tame random large animals with her fruit but at worst she could take control of their entire army and god forbid it works on actual zoans, it's the end of days.

So the anime opening was spoilers all along...
Perhaps the "traitor" is really Kyoshiro(Denjiro).He wanted Orochi to think he is loyal and thats why he give this information about Hiyori and alliance.
And perhaps Denjiro let Orochi know about the scabbards plan, not to stop them but to drop Orochi’s guard I believe denjiro has his own plan 20 years in the making which will be revealed in the next few chapters, Denjiro had to ruin the scabbards plan in order for his own plan to succeed.
But it doesn't explain how he got all the information (about Zou for example) if he's the only "traitor"...
...Anyways too bad, Oden's death would of been the perfect ending to this flashback
