You mean that time he fought killer and Gyukimaru at the same time wasn't good enough? Or did you want Zoro to have more trouble with such guys?
People forget that Zoro vs Ryuma was A MID DIFF. It was cool of course but t was still a mid diff. And this was nerfed Zoro.
Same as Zoro vs Killer and Gyukimaru. Zoro was nerfed and he still mid diffed killer. That's how Zoro matches up wits such characters. Mid Diffs only.
Zoro is too abnormally strong for Oda to make Zoro fight people who don't have DFS or extra abilities.
Like imagine if Zoro vs Kyoshiro was an actual extreme diff. This would require Kyoshiro to be tanking Mountain cutting slashes or at least deflecting such attacks and by then it would just be Zoro fighting himself. Like if Kyoshiro was naturally that strong then that means he's just Zoro again. Oda can't have that so he adds things like gravity powers or turning into mountains or turning into Dinasaurs to prevent making the fights stale as fuck.
If Zoro is to have your typical samurai fight, it would just be another mid diff and honestly, the killer vs Gyukimaru fugt was enough of that. The anime will just fill in the combat and make it cooler but it can't be a serious fight when Zoro is already so ridiculous

Just like the movie "usual suspects", there could be plenty more other candidates tho which are not prominent enough so we just ditch them coz less apparent emotional impact... Tsuru, that guy who was serving under Kozuki, one of Yasue underling, etc. anyone could be revealed to be eventually a Kurozumi
