And let me reiterate, I am okay with Goofiness to a certain degree, I actually like Luffy's gear 2nd a lot, one of my favorite things in One Piece.

I am criticizing bullshit like
-Turning Luffy into a Zoan after literally calling it Gumo Gumo no for years and Gumo Gumo no being iconic
-Climax of one of the biggest fights in Manga being the opponent used as a fucking jump rope.

I won't like if Zoro was using King as a fucking jump rope in chapter 1035 either.

Strange take. Have you noticed the announcer - Oda - never knows more than we the readers do. He literally only finds things out the moment we do. The announcer isn’t all knowing. Even if he was, comparable to a historian, that history would be from the view of the victors, i.e. the World Government. So, us the readers would still only be aware of knowledge of that balances things out if presented from the view of other characters not World Government.

As far as the announcer was concerned, Luffy’s devil fruit was the gomu gomu no mi because Shanks said it was. Thus, we also thought it was a te gomu gomu no mi. I guess I shouldn’t expec much from a spoiler thread.

Really liked the chapter and all but I wouldn't be satisfied in this fight ending in a Toon way, Kaido did so much shit he deserves a proper beating like Luffy did in 1037. I expect Luffy to tonally change once Kaido uses his last card otherwised I would probably be bummed out by how Kaido will be taken out
