I never undertood those comparisons, every YC/Yonko/Admiral is different from the other it’s not maths it’s not 1+1=2 there is more to it, Law and Kidd fruits are very versatile And strong fruits (even before awakening) and even with that they seem to have took more damage than BM even if she’s « lost », BM lost due to the environment and even when she was falling she told them not to think she can be killed like that.

We saw a dying WB beat the shit out of Akainu so yeah a Yonkou can hold/beat two admirals, the yonko’s are the strongest beings in OP we are in chapter 1046 and poeple are still arguing about this ?

I'm guessing Shanks didn't go all out vs Kaido for whatever reasons he did. It would definitely be ridiculous if he were incapable of perma-scarring Kaido but I wouldn't put it past Oda to do it to wank Oden off even more haha.

I like to think Shanks handled the situation with Kaido diplomatically and told him about Joyboy especially, promising him a true ultimate opponent in a few years who would be worth the wait for him and such. They probably clashed and had a brief skirmish at most but its interesting that Oda didnt show it unlike Shanks vs Whitebeard lol.
I think there's gonna be a twist regarding what happened with those two, whatever Shanks did to make Kaido change his mind and back off.
