kaido's point is ultimately one's ceiling is determined by their haki and roger became the king of the pirates without a df because his was ultimately above his contemporaries. it essentially what chinjao said.

Interesting comparison in this chapter between Kaido stating that Roger didn’t need a devil fruit to be the worlds strongest, and Orochi being one of the weakest characters in the series who is carried by having an insanely powerful fruit.

Is Luffy about to get another haki related power up? If he did that would only cement this fight as the biggest joke of late. Wouldn’t have that problem if instead Zoro comes in and flexes his newfound Advanced CoC.

We always knew Luffy would be getting the 3rd level of CoC, which is only available to CoC specialist, which Luffy is.

The moment we knew he wouod be fighting Blackbeard that this would happen.

I agree. I’ve always said the only way for Kaido to be truely defeated is for his will to break. What he says here again confirms that to me. I think he’ll either be defeated when he finds out Luffy is Joyboy or Luffy does something which saves everyone in Wano

Kaido made it so clear that DF isn't a source for being the strongest and that you don't need it to be strong, this also makes shanks look so good since I think he's the strongest and why he was on kaido list
