We've known they've had pycnofibers for awhile to be fair. I don't think it's been definitive on whether or not pycnofibers and feathers are the same thing. It is pretty fun to know that dinosaurs and pterosaurs both developed flight and similar integument though, especially being close relatives (relatively speaking).
Boy, Luffy's RED ROCK looked more impressive than the KING KONG GUN he used on DOFFY in dressrosa, holy shit, the attacks kaido is facing are insane, literally another level.

Damn they didn't even link to a study or show images of the branching feathers. It'll be real interesting to see if this is accepted as genuine feathers though. That would mean feathers are ancestral to dinosaurs too.
“In birds today, feather color is strongly linked to melanosome shape,” said Professor Maria McNamara, a researcher at University College Cork.
“Since the pterosaur feather types had different melanosome shapes, these animals must have had the genetic machinery to control the colors of their feathers.”
“This feature is essential for color patterning and shows that coloration was a critical feature of even the very earliest feathers.”

Arbel was nerfed against Zoro. He could've changed his color to confuse Zoro.
