For me it was season 5 onwards that killed it for me. So much wasted time in season 5 and cut plot lines really hurt the last bit of the show.

you can just ignore it and read the books and watch the original movie trilogy whenever you want

there are still people to this day that say the original movie trilogy also sucked compared to the books
