Kaido took more damage and it's not even close. But Kaido has 1000 HP while Zoro only has 100.
Imagine both took attacks with 95 damage.
What Zoro did while at 5 HP is very impressive from an endurance point of view but for Kaido it wouldn't look impressive because he would still have 905 HP.
On the other hand Kaidos durability is far, far greater than Zoros.
