Avatar aspect ratio on PC/laptop?

Not sure if it's just me but the aspect ratio on avatars is wonky on my laptop (though perfectly fine on mobile). It seems to force them to look like this:

The image I uploaded for my avatar is 400x400 exactly but it seems forced into something like 193x300 and good ol' Mihawk here ends up looking like a string bean. I tried uploading an image at 193x300 and it still screws the image up. :pepehands: It's not a big deal but I thought I'd report the issue.

It is the same if you upload a picture that has different width and height. First, the picture gets chopped off to a quadratic shape, only to then being squeezed again.

If I upload this avatar:


It becomes this:


It's a minor issue but would be still nice to fix. Ideally, being allowed to upload avatars that have a height up to 300 with a with of 150. But at least 150x200, without being unnaturally squeezed.

I think the issue is that the avys were already cropped, so as a result, it's getting awful when trying to revert things back to zero. That's why i think it's better just to upload 400 x 400 avys for now to avoid the issue. Following this process help: https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/forum/index.php?threads/avatars-setup.19/ Will look more into this later though, especially during weekends when i have more time.

  3. Crop to 192 (W) x 300 (H)
  4. Resize to 192 (W) x 192 (H)

Thanks for the help. Decided to revert the avatars to 192 x 300 ratio.
