One Piece Episode 1016 - The Battle of the Monsters! The Three Stubborn Captains

Animators should collect Sanji and Black Maria scenes in single episode. Today's episode would've been 5/5 if that part was not there. It totally destroyed the tension on rooftop.

There wasn't a terrible amount of tension even in the chapter. We did have a really funny gag with the three captains being complete dumbasses.
And even then, the Sanji stuff does end on a more serious note anyway.

It's funny that Killer thinks that he have chance against Zoro, considering that he was one shoted by Zoro's mid attack. Only reason he wasn't immediately cut in half by shishi sonson is plot.

Sanji part was funny and well animated, though a bit too much fan service
It kind of broke the pacing but what can you do when the original chapter was so short and fast to read to begin with ?
Next episode is gonna be the real deal, i've seen some weird CGI on Kid i'm scared honeslty but it's understable given how hard it is to animate his attacks.

How can a Taco loco like him cope when killer is on the rooftop blitzing a Yonkou, a no haki onigiri crushed Kaido's throat while his boy can't scratch Page1, isn't Zoro supposed to struggle with people like that too instead of being shown that he can decapitate blitz anyone under King?

Because the anime had to be paused for several weeks due to a hacker attack, it was probably no longer considered necessary to show such a pointless filler episode.
