I think kakuzu is stronger but due to the matchup Kisame wins
Kakuzu isn't stronger, Kisame's got much more impressive jutsu, larger scale, physically superior (movement speed might be equal but Kisame has much better reactions), a much better ultimate and quasi-ultimate jutsu in Shark Dance Water Dome and Daikodan.

Kisame's the full package whereas Kakuzu's ninjutsu combo's, the highlight of his AP, didn't catch a weakened Kakashi.

I lean towards Kisame being smarter too, but at the very least he's more analytical than Kakuzu. Kakuzu fell for Shikamaru's tricks, which is not really a downside to him, but he only recognized the problem after falling for it. And for Naruto he was completely fooled. Whereas Kisame deciphers Killer Bee's machinations and effectively counters 3 attacks at once in the span of a second.

Its true that Kakuzu couldnt defeat Weakend kakashi and also no MS, where kakashi said if he used MS he'd defeat him easily but his feats STILL are very impressive against rival of might gai, who literally bullied kisame every time

You phrase it like you've made a point but you really didn't.

Might Gai is hand tailored to beat Kisame. A Taijutsu specialist of his caliber removes Kisame's advantages of absorbing ninjutsu and generally being physically more imposing than his opponents.

The fact he can beat Kisame has no real barring on this match up because Kakuzu is infinitely worse in the realm of physicals than 6th gate Gai.

Not to mention my issue is that Kakuzu's highlighted ability, ninjutsu combination, could not catch an already worn out Kakashi. He ended up snagging him later and almost KO'd Kakashi so kudos to that, but that's only when Kakashi was at one of his lowest points due to a lack of chakra—an issue Kisame does not and will not suffer from in this match up.

No...I have Kakuzu > Kisame, but Kisame beats Kakuzu, he feasts off the elemental attacks from Kakuzu.
1. Why do you have Kakuzu as stronger?

2. What do you think of TAC's arguments that Kisame is all round the better fighter?

The problem with Kisame is that 90% of his showings are when he's amped by Biju chakra

Against B he absorbed massive amounts of his chakra

Against Guy he also absorbed B's chakra, enough to make B almost pass out

It's hard to know how strong he is without being amped

Kisame is stronger in general but Kakuzu can win assuming kisame can't absorb lightning. Water users in general are weaker against lightning attacks
But Kisame can absorb raiton? He does it many times against Bee.

Pein stated that Kisame has the largest reserves of chakra in Akatsuki. Pein could use an assortment of ninjutsu, wipe out Konoha, make a multi—mountain sized Chibaku Tensei (saying he’ll make it bigger if necessary) and died of chakra exhaustion resurrecting the dead masses of Konoha.

The scale of Kisame’s ninjutsu isn’t an issue

Chakra reserves don't really mean much, Naruto has had more chakra than 99% of the verse since day one, even without Kurama.

I do agree that Kisame wins but only because of Samehada, him and Kakuzu should be pretty relative in general.

Kisame absorbed lightning? I must have missed them. Can you give me panels?

We’ll your talking about ninjutsu scale so chakra reserves do 100% matter.

Nah, they really aren’t relative lol. I think without Samehada they’re about equals, with Samehada Kisame is a clear cut above Kakuzu. His ninjutsu is superior to Kakuzu’s and once he fuses with Samehada there’s really nothing Kakuzu can do at that point.

470 has a few different times it happened but here’s the only decent page I can find on a quick google.

I never even mentioned ninjutsu scale, I just said that most of Kisame's feats are when he's amped by Biju chakra, which is true, he was massively amped against both B and Guy.

That's what I meant, they're relative without Kisame using Samehada
