One down Kaido will be next also this wasn't too graphic for the manga like some people were arguing ZKK would be too dark
Currently Kaido is also in his dragon flame mode :pepebusi:

And how do you know that it wasn't Oda trying to make those connections?
Is it so random that in an arc where Kaidou, the only villian so far who wants to die, Zoro got the sword named "Enma" which literallly means Hell, and he named himself King Of Hell, and he got the connection to Ryumaa, who slayed a Dragon above the Flower capital, and guess where are we now?
Denjirou fucked off from the manga for 40 chapters and then made a comeback to kill Orochi. Where's the build up in that?
Denjiro was always a solid nomination for killing orochi given his history with him and how he had to purport as someone else and do Orochi's bidding even with excruciating hatred towards him for the sake of protecting Hiyori and survive the 20 years until the prophecy..

so with that alone it was a logical assumption..

you can't argue the same for zoro and kaido's chemistry coz they don't have any personal history or chemistry between them.

on denjiro's end Orochi didn't know hebwas a scabbard but still from denjiro's perspective they had one bloody history together.

Kuma and ZOro literally just met and that didn't stop Zoro from having his moment with him
Also bro Zoro gave Kaidou his second scar, that's more than enough history.

The problem is, that kinda goes out the window when

A) we only assume we know Orochi's powers (i.e. 8 head limit)

B) as a result of A, can't actually be sure he's dead

There's always a counterargument to these kind of things.

What wouldn't have a counterargument is everyone seeing Zoro actually getting up again and claiming he has something else to do. That's my point

I’d say what we have right now in regards to all the parallels and connections is enough to create a solid imagery of ZKK. I do feel like the story needs to move in a direction that makes it more likely in the immediate narrative, but that will either happen or not in the next few chapters.

Either way it would still look better than Denjiro’s thing, the only way it couldn’t is if he just suddenly blinks into the sky and chops his head off fully awake and healed out of nowhere, which has about a 0% chance of happening
what have you done to hiyori

i mean he wont be ko'd but he also wont be in great condition to fight anyone
zoro cant prove the wano samurai are formidable
no one sees him as one of them , he grew up outside. rather the point of opening up the country shows its completely ok for an outsider to help which is whaat luffy is doing, and all the other pirates that participated in this war. that was oden prophecy.

"It's like...we've waited 25 damn years to actually get this info about Zoro, to have him cement himself as someone worthy of being the WSS and the second coming of Ryuma. If Oda can't deliver on the character who is only second to Luffy in pretty much any story-related aspect, whether that be popularity, importance, strength, etc. then that's absurd."

at the moment he was one of the key figures in a war that took down wano's oppressor
if you are looking for anymore than that in an arc where luffy is present.. tough tough tough

"People say Zoro fans are greedy for wanting any more out of him. I'm sorry, but defeating the villain's strongest subordinate like he always does and being involved in a brief scuffle with Kaido doesn't cut it...he's had like a 5-10% increase in his importance to the arc thus far and that shouldn't cut it. No Zoro fan should feel ashamed for wanting more"

what cuts it then, killing him?
its pretty clear who the samurai on onigashima think is their savior no?
so from that standpoint the ryuma legend people want with kaido -zoro seems a bit far fetched..

"A post-arc lore dump is not enough for all of that in my eyes, and I hope a lot of other people can see why"

post battle like rebecca finding out kyros was her dad not post arc. why would the middle of a war make more sense for that
Mate Zoro is not Rebecca. He deserves more than a fucking 1-arc side character's plotline.

Zoro is AT LEAST as important as Sanji if not outright more important. Some people think Oda did Sanji dirty, and yet:

  • He got a drawn out backstory
  • A full character arc
  • A reassurance of his importance to the crew
If you can't see why it's a problem that we're in an arc CENTERED around samurai and it's been hinted multiple times that Zoro is FROM Wano, and yet he's been sidelined entirely without this stuff resolved, I can't say anything to convince you

You can't treat Wano like some normal arc for Zoro. As I said, this is the ONLY, and I mean ONLY, chance for Oda to fully flesh out Zoro. There's no reason to think there will be more development after Wano besides power-ups.

We've had Hyogoro & Kawamatsu literally say that Zoro looks exactly like Ushimaru & Ryuma. He had Ryuma's sword. He HAS Oden's sword. For him to not end up being recognized as a samurai of Wano would be absolutely asinine and garbage
