Character Discussion Why do people take words about wings so seriously?

I hope Goda sama will one day answer what Robin was exactly thinking when defining them as wings even though I postulated a few theories on the subject matter

I think its reasonable to say sanji and zoro are equal.

I don't think wings represent anything besides strength for a few reasons what zoro does for luffy is purely based on strength within the story it's never implied sanji could not defeat those same enemies while luffy's enemies specifically are implied to be ridiculously strong to the point only he can defeat them.

2nd. This is a fighting manga and the focus is fighting why would they then be evaluated on something besides that also every evaluation between zoro and sanji throughout the story has purely been based on strength so far.

The odds that sanji/zoro contribution would end up the same to luffy seems much more ridiculous then it just representing strength. Sanji cooks and fights enemies that objectively in the jabra/kaku are less than a 1 percent difference meaning his cooking contribution is literally valued at less than 1 percent and this same luffy almost died immediately when sanji left the crew. It makes a lot less sense viewing things this way.

I think their are far too many assumptions regarding contribution value to jump to these conclusions outside of strength. Even within this arc Sanji's main contribution which was highlighted was specifically defeating Queen similarly Zoro defeated King. king and queen who were portrayed closer together than any yonko commanders.

I don't think it measures value outside of strength. How do you meaningfully compare the value of nami, who without her we cant sail to zoro and sanji. How about nico robin who is the only 1 who reads poneglyphs. Strength is the simplest and makes the most sense.
Yes, strength is majority of that.

Like I said earlier, it's the Wings of Pirate King. The title must be connected to the Pirate King Luffy, so it's not strength alone, it's their strength that is applied in helping Luffy.

It was Robin who said it, not some really important or legendary character whose words matter
As in the only person in the world that can read poneglyphs, the light of revolution

Yet you idiots take words from fodders that say zoro is vice captain like it's the law

I feel like many just wish their character to be as potent as the Grandmaster and if the umpteenth delusion can help why not take the bus :josad:

It is strength alone or it literally makes 0 sense why nami, robin or anyone couldn't be the other wing it would be completely arbitrary.

And no it's not reasonable to say sanji and zoro would have the same contribution when sanji can cook and defeat the same strength enemies as zoro.

Zoro is not the vice-captain and robin is trash whose words mean nothing. That she's the only one who can read Poneglyphs is only because Akainu killed the others archeologists.

Zoro King of Hell
Sanji King of L

Joking aside, it's clear as day that Zoro is number 2 within the crew. San(=3)ji is number 3. Maybe they're pretty close in strength, although I wouldn't be so sure. I think adv haki > mutant abilities.

No matter how some want to deny it, Zoro and Sanji are classified as equals on this crew. Marco calls them All Stars. Robin refers to them as wings. Wings are equal. They are symmetric. Strength plays a huge part in this and Zoro fans can't handle this. Sanji and Zoro are on the same level, strength and importants.
