Questions & Mysteries Why do you just assume Sanji defeated Page One?

Is the Anime Reliable?

As things stand Sanji not defeating Page One is a very real possibility to me, which I wouldn't have said before

This is not a case of the anime extending a fight, but it still having the same outcome. The manga never showed the conclusion of Sanji vs Page One, and nobody in the manga has ever said that Sanji did defeat them. We had assumptions of what happened in the fight, but no actual proof. If anything, everyone seemed to think "maybe the anime will show how Sanji beat him since Oda hasn't." I think if they'd done that, nobody would really have commented on it.

But now we're in the position where the only conclusion to the fight we have is the anime one. And in that, Page One was very much undefeated at the end of the fight. So the question is, did Oda tell them to do that? Did he say "by the way, Page One is going to have a fight at the end of the arc, so leave him alive?" The anime has its myriad of problems, but very, very rarely would have they directly changed something like this. It's a very odd decision for them here. If they didn't know what happened- just leave it open ended like Oda actually did in the manga. Not this.
Yes that's my point too theres so much Toei can do tbh.

Toei : in this panel Sanji defeats P1 right Oda-san?

Oda: uh ? do as you wish

This clearly is not happening it wouldn't make sense.

What was he right about ? This is the anime we are talking about ?

If anime is cannon then Sanji has FS and lightspeed movement. Hes also already shown hardening as well. :pepeke:

Zoro fans crying anime isnt cannon for Sanji use hardening but now it is cannon for this ? Make up your mind. Your as bad as Moe.
Sanji didnt beat him in the manga either dumbass

We are assumed to believe he has. Until then he is defeated in my books.

Cry all you want. Zoro still fainted to Kamazou.
Unlike sanji zoro won.
And no we arent assumed for sanji to win.
Like i said before when you idiots kept bleating on
Page one is irrelevant to this story so oda has no reason not to show sanji beating him unless something else ala drake

1.) True point.
2.) Well, Sanji did save Luffy. It's not like he hasn't done anything for Luffy.

Besides, do you guys really think that Page 1 will appear again when Oda simply off panelled how he was destroyed by Sanji?

Veteran level characters are irrelevant for current sanji. And now, Sanji is going to fight low/mid high tiers. That's his next step.
Not as opponent for Sanji but i see no reason why he could not appear to be honest.

Zoro fainted to a papercut from Kamazou. Id rather have unknown conclusion to an embrassing one like that. Actual pathetic joke.

I just find it a very odd decision

-finish the fight with Sanji winning? Everyone thinks "ah, makes sense, that must be what happened when the manga cut away"
-finish the fight like it happened in the manga? No change at all, nearly everyone still would think Sanji won anyway
-finishing the fight with Sanji running away from a still conscious P1? Well that's something entirely different from expected. That makes me ask questions. The main question being "is that what actually happened given we never got a conclusion?"

This week some of them, with no surprise, changed they tune. And obviously the most disingenuous of them would try to blame the Zoro-fans...for calling them out on their bullshit.
sweet backfire lol.

Anyway, i havent seen the episode yet, but since the anime is irrelevant, the question of whether sanji defeating page1 or not has yet to be answered in the manga.

Theyre probably gonna add more filler of P1 vs Sanji. Or extend the subplot in someway.

P1 dissappearing now makes less sense than in the manga.
