Extending the fight is not changing the course of the manga, it´s welcomed to gain as much minutes as possible from events considering how close the anime is to the manga regards to the story.
And still has the same open end as in the manga, so it´s no problem.
Sanji still looked superior, everything else has the same consequence.
Let me remind you of this genius extension of the anime.
Or Smoker only losing because he covered his subordinates, and actually put up a fight
I would sincerely prefer them doing filler stuff for a few years like Bleach or Naruto did and then adapt it faithfully.

First of all manga never confirmed that Sanji took down page one.
We all assumes it happened.
So stop blaming TOEI for not showing What never happened in manga....that is Sanji defeating page one
The only criticism Toei deserve rn is that they portrayed Sanji running away while page one still being fine which didn't happen in manga...
Thus one can conclude that It's Drake who took down page one until further confirmation.
Also, Stop blaming zoro fans.. you guys were literally calling anime cannon to justify Sanji having koka. You guys were literally hyping Sanji having light speed based on anime..

The anime is absolutely irrelevant when it comes about the manga.
Sanji said he's going to get rid of Page 1 while being uncovered by the other Beast Pirates. After that chapter, we saw Sanji not injured whilst that rampage clearly stopped.
Page One is defeated and he has no major role on that war anyway...

As things stand Sanji not defeating Page One is a very real possibility to me, which I wouldn't have said before

The manga never showed the conclusion of Sanji vs Page One, and nobody in the manga has ever said that Sanji did defeat them. We had assumptions of what happened in the fight, but no actual proof. If anything, everyone seemed to think "maybe the anime will show how Sanji beat him since Oda hasn't." I think if they'd done that, nobody would really have commented on it.
But now we're in the position where the only conclusion to the fight we have is the anime one. And in that, Page One was very much undefeated at the end of the fight. So the question is, did Oda tell them to do that? Did he say "by the way, Page One is going to have a fight at the end of the arc, so leave him alive?" The anime has its myriad of problems, but very, very rarely would have they directly changed something like this. It's a very odd decision for them here. If they didn't know what happened- just leave it open ended like Oda actually did in the manga. Not this.

People don't realize Toei would need to create a whole subplot to justify him not appearing in the war cuz his defeat( the ones who fail are punished).
Moreover if it was a clear win why go and do the contrary that doesn't add up.

What was he right about ? This is the anime we are talking about ?
If anime is cannon then Sanji has FS and lightspeed movement. Hes also already shown hardening as well.
