Break Week Eustass Kidd's Potential

So what? Big Meme is a weak jobber with pathetic haki and over reliant on her homies. Jimbei has been tossing her around since WCI and it doesn’t help that Robin and Franky have plowed through her too.

As for haki she lacks good armament haki, no where near the level Zoro’s is on. She never used armament to defend hell she doesn’t even use it to attack more than half the time. Zoro has full body armament to stop assign and Adv CoC that works
We don't truly know what devil fruit powers will have an effect or not but as I said before if it had an effect on Big mom it will have an effect on Zoro. Luffy's awakening affected Kaido I think all awakenings bypass haki.

Big Mom blocked Luffy's Gear 4 punch with haki.

I wouldn't have too much hope about him or any other supernova after seeing the way Oda has used and written them both before and during Wano arc.

In fact I'll say that it applies to pretty much every character that isn't a Straw Hat or one of Oda's favorites.

Yeah and Oda Rushed Wano so he probably doesn't want to spend too much time on Kidd who's already had his screentime in Wano.

Though Law has been here since Punkhazard so it would make sense for Kidd to get 3 arcs with the strawhats.

We still need Kidd's backstory.

Future of Kidd's story:

Eustass Kidd has a badass design with a badass devilfruit and a badass personality. There's so much that Oda could do with Kidd's character. We still need a Kidd backtory.

Kidd is the rival of Luffy in my mind this is forshadowing for Kidd to be a future villain/anti-hero like magneto. Magneto is an anti-hero sometimes he's good sometimes he's evil. I feel like this will be kidd's role. He will work with the Strawhats against common enemies but won't befriend them.

As soon as kidd master conqeror's haki he has potential to be a future yonko. Though a yonko needs a strong crew and territory, and Kidd is a long ways away from a strong crew. He's gonna need more than just Killer.

If he doesn't become a yonko Kidd could become an enemy of Luffy by trying to kill Shanks. Fighting is fine but If Kidd tries to kill that would be crossing the line. One more alternative is Killer dies and Kidd becomes full on insane like Magneto killing those responsible.

Or Oda just goes the easy route, Kidd gets stronger has 1 more clash with Shanks, from there he just sails the seas as normal and defeats any marines in his path. Then fights the World Government in the final war for his freedom.

Devil Fruit Potential:

Eustass Kidd could do soo much with his devil fruit it's insane.

He could make magnetic barriers for defense.

He could transform into vehicles and giant weaponized robots like a transformer

He could have an attack where he takes a bunch of sharp metal shards and sword then coats them with haki, and gives someone a magnetic attraction charge to stab them.

  • Magnetic Flight
  • Magnetic Energy Blast
  • Magnetic Barrier maybe even give allies a barrier
  • Mass control over metal objects
  • Mass control over the magnetic field and positive and negative charges
  • Creating vehicles, Robots and other objects out of metals
  • Lifting people around with the iron in their bodies
  • Control of the electromagnetic spectrum potentially being able to appear invisible.
  • Control pacifistas
Eustass Kidd could be unstoppable if he reaches his true potential. I doubt Oda will make Kidd that important and strong though.
Kidd has potentially the strongest Devil Fruit in the series, but he's stupid so he wastes it on metal hands and shit

This didn't age well at all...

Maybe he will eventually return in Elbaf, who knows
Genuine question without trying to meme, why the hell would he return/live? Why would he learn anything from this? Because Kid LITERALLY had this exact same thing happen to him before. He went up against a Yonko, got utterly humiliated, and learned jack shit from it.

Why would it be different here? Why would Oda write the exact same storyline again, only this time with Kid and Killer being imprisoned in Elbaf instead of Wano after getting whooped by Shanks instead of Kaido this time? Like I know, Oda barely kills anybody in non-flashbacks but with Kid what would be the point of having him live only to end up at the exact same point he was during Wano?

I'm kinda neutral here, but imo it would be different because with Kaido, Kid and Killer were screwed over by Apoo betraying them. But here, what happened to Kid and his crew was 100% his own fault since it was a direct consequence of trying to pick a fight with Shanks.

It is indeed Oda we are talking about, 99.9% Kidd is not dead (if he is Oda is a savage and One piece regains a lot of what it lost with Wano and WCI, but it will never happen). Also Kidd is a character Oda spent quite some time on it. Imo the best choice Oda could made (but I don't think he will do it) is that Kidd renters the story in Elbaf arc when Luffy arrives (and this I think it is a set point: Kidd is in Elbaf without a ship and most likely a vast majority of the people there rightly hates him) at that point he should not become again a PK title contender (like you said he already had more than a chance) but in his time in Elbaf he has character development, he understands how moronic he was all this time, changes but at the same time quits the race for the PK title, maybe with a promise to come back later or something so that we just get him in the final war.

But honestly either way Elbaf should be a pretty big arc with Kidd and probably Urouge as resident supernovas but his big role ends with that arc of course. It is already heavily suggested the contenders for the PK title are only Luffy, BB and Shanks.
