Hes the Sanji of The Boys. The gag/tragic but endearing, genuine, heartfelt woobie character. Kinda like Hughie and Starlight too lol.
Plus the creator and production team seem to love gross out humour, shock value etc.
That scene with NotAntMan I mean Termite and his "tunnel exploration" was uncomfortable as hell too. Probably inspired by the Thanos and Antman meme trend unless it was in The Boys comics before ofc.
I'm surprised Stormfront is actually dead now, kinda felt pointless to keep her alive and just have her die so suddenly this season anyway. Its still gonna contribute to Homelanders meltdown and inevitable permanent snapping/downward spiral and going berserk or whatever?
Butcher vs Gunpowder was fucking brutal, he actually terrified me a little especially by the end of it. Fucking diabolical even lmfao.
I've missed this show so much. Season w felt a bit slow and dull in places IIRC but this season will hopefully be better, especially after waiting a few years now I think?

I'm not insulting Sanji lol. Just stating the author and production team like to bully him too. There's usually a male characters who gets emasculated a lot in these stories.
If anything, it's also more accurate to compare him to his actual inspiration Aquaman who has been a gag character a lot in the past and thus humiliated a lot too ofc.
Deep is pretty great like Sanji too imo. I've enjoyed some of his scenes and writing a lot. What he did to Star was reprehensible/scummy as hell though.

I've mostly enjoyed the first three episodes though the r rated scenes can sometimes make you feel that they are just spamming them for shock value (which they probably are)
I'm invested in the Butcher - Ryan payoff.
Also, it will be interesting to see how the thing with Nadia turns out. And Soldier Boy will probably have a Vs Homelander arc.
