I honestly think the opposite. When she was revealed as evil, Oda develop small but important panels developing Pudding's ideas and how she doesn't like how Big Mom views her, all to lead up to her 180 later in the arc. I think it was done really well
And you like how it turned into a gag afterwards? No mention of the betrayal even once. She never recons with her own actions. Sanji doesn't care. It's all gags gags gags.

Imagine that kanjuro later supposedly turns a 180 but then all his actions and behaviour go unpunished by anyone in the story and his duplicitous nature is treated as a gag?

Well yes her love gags are just gags as she is transitioning into a new character. In fact after she kissed Sanji, she became more of a tragic/grounded character

That was a pretty standard ending. Character team up vs Kaido. It was surprising to see Aokiji and Sabo there though.

Also, is Kaido voiced by a different actor for the game? He sounds slightly different than the anime.

It was weird how Kaido just left, but I guess they didn't want to beat him in the game. The Dragon Culverin looked badass though.

So its fine that they never mention her betrayal and she never gets punished for it and she herself never visibly comes to terms with anything she's done and her entire character change is done in gags.

Wow imagine if Usopp never apologises for fighting luffy and just has a bunch of gags piled onto each other until everyone just stops carj g and he comes back to the crew with nothing said about it

Where is the scene where anyone forgives her? Literally no one brings it up. After the wedding NO ONE EVER SAYS ANYTHING about it.

You know for someone to be forgiven, they have to apologise. Otherwise it's just unimportant noise in the arc. Now you reread wci knowing this entire betrayal thing adds up to just a bunch of gags
