It would be better for Smoothie definitely.

Plot wise it will make her show all her abilities if she fights with Zoro .

If she fights someone who is not a SHs we migth not see her abilities completely detailed.

So many here wonder how Zoro will beat King well let's make Zoro beat Smoothie and then King so he can grow

Oda wouldn't waste those much screentime about whether they will go or not if he doesn't intend to involve them in some way.. shape or form...

So... for a STRONG commander like Smoothie... I'd say Vice Admiral "Momosagi" who was a "previously a candidate" to become an admiral is actually a TRUE GOOD LEGITIMATE FIGHT

Another character Oda may involve her into the upcoming war... is Boa Hancock... right now she's confident in her stay at Amazon Lily... but what if things got out of hands... and she had to leave the island and she decided to head to where LUFFY is.... either for help or for refuge... so she may end up getting involved in this big mess of a war also... and she's more than capable to fight Smoothie in my personal opinion

So... Oda basically if he wants to give Smoothie a TRUE GOOD FIGHT... I see those two to be the best two option to get involved in this war...

As for Compote... well she's veteran.. but she was NOT GIVEN much attention as someone like Daifuku/Oven... she she's more than likely can be handled by a LOT of characters who are in the alliance... or just stay in background like so many others who will be off-screened anyway LOL

Especially with it being wano an arc that has been highlighting zoro. It would could be a really cool callback to his kuina flashback
Even better if tashigi shows up too to witness goin all into a women (thats not her or hiyori)


At the same time i don't know about smoothie. While i do think it would be a difficult fight and probably cool. I still don't know what the hell oda is doing with the big mom pirates at all.

Only luffy might have a clash with big mom and that's it.

Zoro will most likely defeat king, his fights and luffy's fight are usually the most obvious ones. I don't see this pattern changing here.

Sanji overpowered Kalifa just thanks to that in fact.
