The only non captain yet top tier/legend who is known to mess (and even more) with an admiral is dark king. All the others that we have seen them fight are below admirals. Katakuri, Marco king all of them would lose, even though they are the strongest under their captains.
The thing with King and Queen is that greenbull has a df that literally cancels their greatest strength, witch is their durability and even more so for king, so they were doomed from the beginning lol.
It's not like they were going to win otherwise but it would be more difficult for them to lose plus they were still with bandages on, so they weren't at 100%.
I don't understand why some people dismiss their condition, i mean oda bothered enough to draw the bandages, so there is a reason for it.
On another note, Sanji and Zoro accomplish a great feat, leaving two ancient zoans with wounds after a whole week. Well done

Half the Strawhats did a rescue mission into a Yonko’s territory against a full Yonko crew. That excuse doesn’t work because it’s not like the characters doing the rescuing are going to stop regardless of the odds.
Add everyone else in the world against him, and Whitebeard would have still tried to rescue his son.

Not the gorosei while I do think they are fairly strong but not top tiers more like regular CP0 level but their role is purely political here.
I think the most powerful celestial dragons have not been introduced to the story yet and I think that “some” of the celestial dragons are trained to do be fighters and let’s not forget that their ancestors did defeat Joy Boy 800 years ago

I agree, Shirohige would go against the entire world if necessary, but he would not risk his children.
Also, Sanji's rescue is nothing like Ace's. Ace's had the entire Marines on alert. It was clear that they were going to fight and if indeed Admirals = Yonko, to die.

Nope, because we saw Jozu hit Aokiji offguard with Brilliant Punk and it only gave him a small lip bleed.
On the flip side, when Aokiji hit Jozu offguard with a nameless attack he was immediately out of the fight and down an arm.
It wasn’t as explicitly as it is here because powerscaling was fuzzier in the pre time skip, but admirals are significantly stronger than commanders. Not just the calamities.

That implies that Marco was only keeping up because of his regen.
And we literally saw a weakened Akainu take on all of the WBP at once.
