Never thought I would ever do this, but after thinking over it for a couple of hours, I believe this to be the best thing to do.

This game will have a post cap of 150 posts per day phase for each player. The cap will be lifted during the final 2 hours of EoD. Additionally, D1 will strictly be a plurality lynch while all subsequent phases will be a deadline lynch (both majority and plurality).

For the vast majority of you, this posting cap will not be an issue and will barely affect your gameplay–if at all–since you don't regularly post that much in day phases anyway. But for the select few of you which this post cap will impact, well... I wish you luck. Take the time between now and until the game starts to mentally prepare.

The post limitations purpose is meant for players to NOT play naturally.
This is a game where you have to think more about what you write. If your natural way of playing mafia is "just posting without thinking" then wtf are you doing. It fits the flavour tbh, crime syndicate type of shit, where you have to watch your tongue in such surroundings. Make calculated moves. I love it and it will not only hit the usual top 4 posters but it will have impact on half the players.

I considered limiting it to only Ekko but I think it's quite unfair to do it to literally only one person. I don't want to target a specific person, feels like bullying. Besides, as I said, this will barely affect the vast majority of the players so this shouldn't even be that big of a deal.

@Flowa you post a lot too, even though not as much as Ekko, it can be clogging. @SoulKiller you are from the old gen of players. Posting no more than 150 posts should not be that difficult of a challenge for you as I'm sure you used to play like that before. To say that it won't let you play naturally anymore but being okay with restricting it to Ekko is a little hypocritical as the same thing can be said for Ekko. It won't allow him to play naturally either.

Moreover, the whole point of a post cap is to discourage players from spamming the thread and make them play more in-tune with traditional mafia. Ekko is the biggest perpetrator of the spam, yes, but if I'm going to discourage one person from posting a lot with this rule, then it's fair and just that I do it to everybody. I can't punish Ekko for breaking the cap but let everyone go scot-free, that is ridiculous.

Yea... cause limiting the post counts gonna make people be calculative when it does not affect 95% of the players cause they barely post. While for the high posters it does limit things because it strips away the fun aspect of it. Plus, why assume people post without thinking exactly? this really just applies to ekko here.

At least make it 300, then. It‘s a big game. 150 was for a 15 player Champs game.

You do make a point, if it's up to me I won't have a post cap limit. When I am playing games that has flavors I enjoy, I do tend to post alot and interact more cause I enjoy the theme, but now I have to keep counting how many posts I make which is annoying tbh.

Anyways, you are the host and it's your game, i might not like it personally but it's your decision at the end of the day. It just sucks you put such restrictions on a peaky blinder themed game.

Cool, 150msg/24 hday usually, is huge also, but some players can hit this limit so its k.
